The purpose of the role and the role’s unique contribution is to analyse, coordinate, and produce core workforce information across Australia & New Zealand at the Group Executive and EGM level on a consistent and repeatable basis so that IAG has the insights it needs to inform decisions on the workforce during a transitionary period until there is one common Human Resource Information System (Employee Central).

The Role is proposed as a 6 to 12 month contract/secondment on a full time flex basis in Auckland, Sydney or Melbourne.

Your Key Accountabilities:

·     Utilise consolidated workforce information across both the Australian and New Zealand workforce systems to develop a consistent monthly report for EGMS such that it informs organisational decision making;

·     Maintain workforce data standards for both the Australian and New Zealand geographies;

·     Deliver information through automated solutions, data visualization tools including Power BI and Tableau, and manual flat files (ppt and Excel);

·     Work with P&C stakeholders to ensure they have the standard workforce insights they need to impact organisational performance;

·     Support the embedment of IAG’s job architecture across Australia and New Zealand and to produce reporting that is consistent with the governance of IAG’s organisational design objectives;

·     Support ad-hoc data projects that require workforce and people data insights to support critical business decision making on a prioritised basis after monthly reporting is complete ;

·     Participate in initiatives which help improve P&C Function’s data informed decision making capability;

Experiences, Capabilities & Qualifications

Required Experience, Capabilities & Skills:

·       Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

·       Ability to interpret, aggregate, and convert HR data into useable information for business leaders

·       Understanding of interrogating databases using programming languages like SQL

·       Demonstrated ability to build dashboards using data visualisation tools like Tableau and Power BI

·       Ability to communicate data insights effectively using a variety of techniques

·       Tertiary qualification in relevant fields including Business Analysis, Statistics or HR Analytics;

Desired Experiences:

  • Experience in creating reports and insight within a human resources/workforce management context;
  • Experience in data analytics and the use of statistical techniques to develop insight.
